Upon your arrival you will be issued a Tourist Visa allowing you a specified number of days to stay in Mexico. DO NOT lose this document as it must be turned in when you depart.

Be careful when using phones that require your credit card for use to call the U.S. They can be VERY expensive. Most personal cell phones work in Los Barriles.
Driving in Baja requires extra caution. Roads are narrower than you are used to and grazing animals on the paved or dirt roads are common. There also are many slow-moving vehicles and many with non-working signals and taillights. Drive slowly and avoid long distance driving at night.
Ice chests and fish boxes are generally expensive and sometimes hard to find. If you're planning to take home fresh or frozen fish, bring an ice chest. Great fishing information on fresh fish purchases, charters, fishing reports and weather is available at the East Cape Smokehouse.

There are independent shuttle services outside at the airport if you have not made prior arrangements with Sunset Villas. Beware of Timeshare "offers" to transport you for free.
